Hi Mike,
Wanted to say that your page is very interesting and appreciated as well. I have been a Certified Veterinary Technician for going on ten years now. I currently live in Macon Georgia and am considering relocating to Nevada. I would love to stop in and meet you and get ideas on getting into the right clinic. I had a successful seven year career at a six Doctor practice in Pennsylvania where I am originally from. I moved to Georgia and am having difficulty finding a clinic that is right for me. I have letters of recommendations from the clinic in Pennsylvania as well as one in Florida where I worked for a short time. I am aggressively seeking a clinic that has a family environment as well as opportunity to grow as a Technician. I have been unsuccessful in finding that here in Georgia so I am considering a move to Nevada where there are many employment opportunities. In almost ten years of my career as a Tech, I have missed one day of work and am on time, every time. My career comes first as I do not have any outside commitments such as children or spouse. Please let me know of any advice you can give in my search. Thank you and have a blessed day.
Hi Mike, I stumbled across your blog through a mutual linkedin group. Getting the most out of a clinics most valuable resource – employees is not an easy task for any manager. There are so many components to knowing how to get things done and done in the correct manner.
I recommend an “annual refresher” with a Coach to re-establish current business practices, or for those managers and business owners who have not already had the opportunity to work with a Coach, a 30 minute discovery call to establish a triple win – Patients, Employee’s and Entrepreneurial Self.
